EU - European Year of Education through Sport

The anti-discrimination campaign supports the European Year of Education through Sport 2004 (EYES). The initiative, which has been implemented by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture, runs under the slogan "Move your body. Stretch your mind". It encompasses the 25 EU Member States, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.

With this pan-European project, the European Union is aiming to attract even more citizens to sport than is already the case. Another important aim of the campaign is to sensitise the European public to the importance of sport in an educational context, as well as to increase the significance of physical activities in school curricula.

Európsky portál pre mláde¾ je iniciatíva Európskej Komisie. Bola podnietená Bielou Knihou "Nový impulz pre Európsku Mláde¾". Cieµom je poskytnú» veµkému mno¾stvu mladých µudí jednoduchý prístup k relevantným informáciám, týkajúcich sa mláde¾e, o Európe. Najvy¹¹ím cieµom je zvý¹it participáciu mláde¾e vo verejnom ¾ivote a prispie» k aktívnemu obèianstvu. Cieµová skupina sú mladí µudia vo veku 15 - 25 rokov. Taktie¾ bude portál poskytova» informácie pre pracovníkov s mláde¾ou.
