Project description

The main aim is to increase awareness of the rights of disabled people in various aspects of life.  This will be reached through the organisation of seminars, the publication and dissemination of leaflets, reports and other literature, public service announcements and posters to be distributed throughout Malta and Gozo. 

Activities will be held in physically accessible venues throughout the country to ensure that as many people as possible are reached. It is expected that these activities will continue to raise the profile of the disability rights movement and help people to focus on specific issues. While disabled people are the main stakeholders of the project, different sectors will be targeted, including disabled people's family members, professionals working in the area, policy- and decision-makers, architects, members of the medical profession, schoolchildren and teachers, as well as the general public.
