EU - European Year of Education through Sport

Logo: "Move your body. Stretch your mind"

The anti-discrimination campaign supports the European Year of Education through Sport 2004 (EYES). The initiative, which has been implemented by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture, runs under the slogan "Move your body. Stretch your mind". It encompasses the 25 EU Member States plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. With this pan-European project, the European Union is aiming to attract even more citizens to sport than is already the case. Another important aim of the campaign is to sensitise the European public to the importance of sport in an educational context, as well as to increase the significance of physical activities in school curricula. For further information about the EYES initiative, please visit www.eyes-2004.info.
